We, at Moothi Estate strongly endorse the concept of regional wine shows as these contests give a true reflection of a regions best 'appellation'.

We acknowledge that some wine makers enter their wines in regional Wine Shows under a classification of "unfinished" wines. This means that the wine is still in bulk tanks. Moothi Estate agrees with the criticism made by Huon Hooke, (SHM Good Living Magazine) that this practice (of entering unfinished wine) can be misleading as there is no guarantee that the unfinished wine that "WINS" and award is the same wine that is eventually bottled and labelled displaying the award.

Consequently it is Moothi Estate's policy that we will enter all shows with our finished and bottled wines.
