Moothi Estate is a family owned and run boutique wine producer. After searching for a suitable property to develop Phil and Sue Moore settled on the prestigous premium wine region of Mudgee, NSW. Roger Moore came on board to manage the vineyard and Phil and Sue's daughters Jessica and Holly run the sales and marketing division. Together, they have researched and implemented the best practices of vineyard development, including: vineyard layouts, innovative drip irrigation systems, versatile trellis systems and grape varieties best suited to the Mudgee appellation.

At Moothi Estate we've set our sights high - to make the best wine possible. The vineyard is one of the highest in the region, located at an altitude of 510 metres with the unique north-west facing slopes of Mount Frome to capture maximum sunshine and excellent drainage promoting strong healthy vines. The soil is outstanding - reddish clay with limestone, quartz, ironstone gibber and a slightly negative pH.

A combination perfect for our grape varieties of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. The grapes are harvested from specially selected rows in the 'high' blocks of the vineyard, testing is done on individual berries for ripeness, colour, taste and tannins by our winemaker.The result: Wines that surpass your every expectation.
