John Fordham Sunday Telegraph 15/6/08
Moothi Waters 2007 Chardonnay
"An absolute ripper from Mudgee featuring rich and intense melon flavours complemented by an nicely balanced influence of oak. A wine offering heaps of enjoyment"
Jeff Collerson 'Drink This' Daily Telegraph 30/06/04
Moothi Mud 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon
"The Moore family has grown grapes in Mudgee for nine years but has only just launched its own label. The blurb for this says Mudgee's Koori name is Moothi, or 'nest in the hills'. It's a fair description considering the Great Dividing Range flanks the Mudgee region on three sides.
I've always (just) favoured Mudgee cab sav over shiraz as the area's star red variety and this is a first class example. It has a core of sweet blackberry fruit with a savoury edge and well-integrated tannins."
