The Great Dividing Range flanks the idyllic Mudgee region on three sides, hence its Koori name, Moothi, meaning 'Nest in the Hills'.
At Moothi Estate, we're setting our sights on making the best wine possible which is also true to our region.
Our family run vineyard is one of the highest in Mudgee, at an altitude of 550 metres and located on the unique northwest facing slopes of Mount Frome, looking into the Mudgee valley. Moothi Estate was established in 1995 and has been producing its own wines since 2002. Our wines are produced using grapes from specially selected rows in the high blocks of the vineyard, chosen by our wine maker who tests individual berries for ripeness, colour, taste and mature tannins. These wines are ideal to drink now but also have a huge potential to develop with cellaring.
