The aroma shows good varietal cassis and herbaceousness. There are defined blackcurrant fruits and a toasty vanillan nit lift from new oak maturation, providing depth and balance.
The palate is well balanced with a seamless texture and integration over a creamy mid-palate from barrel ferment. The tannins are fine and elegant, giving the wine great presence.

The wine displays a deep ruby red colour.
There are fresh cassis aromas of fully ripened Cabernet fruit with hints of cedary oak. The fresh fruit comes to the fore on the front of the palate and there is a rich earthy mid-palate supported by subtle oak and a vanilla lift.
The palate is even and has a lovely velvety texture. The wine is well balanced and will provide drinking pleasure now but will have the ability to develop complexity with good cellaring over the next five years.
